What does an HWID ban actually mean in NBA 2K27?

Lots of people mix up an account ban and an HWID ban, so let’s sort it out here. As far as we understand it, an account ban hits your login, while an HWID ban is tied to identifiers from your hardware, so a brand new account on the same PC can still get blocked.

That’s the general idea, but we want to hear what you’ve actually seen. Did a new account work for you after a ban, or did it get flagged right away? Anyone ever get caught because they were on a shared or family PC? Correct us if you think we’ve got any of this wrong. Our HWID spoofer page explains what we sell.
